If your marketing feels stuck, you’re not alone. After years of working with lawyers and professionals, I’ve seen a few common reasons why marketing efforts fall flat:
1. You haven’t defined your niche.
If your audience is “everyone,” your message resonates with no one.
2. You’re overlooking your best source of business — your current clients.
Growth often comes from nurturing existing relationships, not chasing new ones.
3. You’re focused on tactics, not strategy.
Don’t fall into “random acts of marketing.” Every effort should serve a purpose.
4. You’re doing marketing you don’t enjoy.
If it doesn’t feel authentic, you won’t sustain it. Find approaches that fit your strengths.
Making small shifts can make a big difference — and I’ve seen them transform how professionals build thriving practices.
